The government is well aware that the people in the state are in accute difficulties due to lockdown since more than one and half months. Labourers, farmers and middle class families are more vulnerable mass in this laborious situation. At this juncture, Social Democratic Party of India, Karnataka demand the state government for a Total Waive Off Electricity Charges of the months March, April and May. Even after the relaxation of lockdown, much time will take to normalize the economy of the people. Hence, the government, for any reason, shall not collect the electricity charges from the households. If at all it collects, that will be a biggest injustice to the people of Karnataka by the state government, warned SDPI state president Elyas Muhammad Thumbe.
