Bengaluru, 13 December 2023: On the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attack on the Parliament, the incident of color smoke blasts inside and outside the Parliament today is a serious security lapse, which has created a situation where we all have to ask whether the country is safe, said Abdul Majeed, the State President of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), expressing his concern through his press release.

On the one hand, along with the 22-year-old terrorist attack, the Khalistani terrorist organization also threatened to attack the Indian Parliament on the same day. In hindsight, Parliament should have had tight security today. But Majeed said that it is alarming that there is such a large level of lapse.

However, two unidentified men entered Parliament with “color smoke blast” material. It is a major security lapse. In his statement, Majeed alleged that the Modi government is directly responsible for this lapse.

The two persons who managed to enter Parliament had passes obtained through Mysore-Kodagu Member of Parliament Pratap Sinha. Majeed said in a statement that Pratap Singh should be investigated and he should not be allowed to attend the proceedings of Parliament until the investigation is over.

This entire case is an affront to the honor and dignity of Parliament, which is called the largest panchayat of the country, the sacred seat of democracy. Majeed through the announcement demanded that there should be a comprehensive investigation in this case and severe punishment for the culprits.
