In the context of the Davanagere by-election, the Congress party’s allegation that its own rebel leaders have provided financial support to SDPI is completely false and baseless.
The Congress has suffered setbacks in this election due to its failure to seriously consider the appeal made by Muslim leaders and ulema regarding ticket allocation. Now, in an attempt to cover up this loss, the party is trying to create divisions within the Muslim leadership and is targeting certain individuals through political attacks. Instead of accepting its failure, the Congress has initiated a new drama by spreading false propaganda regarding SDPI’s election funding. The people of the country are well aware of SDPI and its ideology.
