Today’s children are the basis for the better future of the country. It is the duty of all of us to provide them with good education, nutritious food, medical facilities, and visionary plans. The sad thing is that in all these we lag behind many poorer countries. Governments should come out of speeches and act on this. That is the true respect we pay to Jawahar Lal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of the country, and the significance of celebrating his birthday as Children’s Day.
