Date: 20 March | Davangere: Keeping in view the upcoming by-election in Davangere, the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has decided to field a strong candidate.

In this regard, as part of the candidate selection process, a series of meetings are being held under the leadership of Abdul Hannan (State Vice President) and Afsar Kodlipete (State Election In-charge), in the presence of Syed Akram (State Secretary and District In-charge), along with district and assembly-level leaders. During these meetings, detailed discussions were held on the political situation of the constituency, organizational strengthening, collection of voters’ opinions, and the selection of a suitable candidate.

Taking into account the party’s ideology, pro-people stance, and the current political scenario, it has been decided to announce a strong candidate capable of winning.

SDPI is fully prepared to contest this by-election strongly by presenting leadership that responds to public issues and stands for social justice. The official announcement is awaited. The meeting was attended by State Treasurer Amjad Khan, State Committee members Faiyaz Arihant, Abrar Ahmed, Ubaidullah Kerebilchi, District President Tahir Hussain, District Vice President Rizvi Riyaz Ahmed, District General Secretary Ghouse Peer, along with district committee members and Davangere & Harihar assembly constituency committee members.
