*”Local Governance is the Foundation of Democracy: Elected Representatives Must Lead the Party Towards ‘Emerging to Power’ Through Efficiency” – Afsar Kodlipete*

*SDPI Representatives’ Meeting from Kalyana Karnataka Region*

*Gulbarga | August 4, 2025:*
Under the banner “Local governance is the foundation of democracy”, a special supervisory meeting (ERM) of SDPI’s elected representatives from the districts of the Kalyana Karnataka region was held in Gulbarga city. The session was led by SDPI State General Secretary and State Election In-Charge Afsar Kodlipete, along with State ERM In-Charge Abrar Ahmad.

In his introductory address, Afsar Kodlipete stated:
“The upcoming local body elections are crucial for strengthening the party’s political power and public influence. In this context, the responsibility of the party’s elected representatives is greater than ever. With political commitment, integrity, and efficiency, they must play a key role in steering the party steadily toward the goal of ‘Emerging to Power’.”

Speaking at the session, Abrar Ahmad said:
“The elected representatives of the party must regularly attend training programs organized by the party to enhance their efficiency and provide a model of good governance.”

Among the participants were Shahapur City Municipal Councillor Firdous Khatoon, and elected members from various panchayats of Bidar, Gulbarga, Yadgir, Raichur, Ballari, and Bijapur districts. They shared their experiences and held discussions on developmental activities at the local level, implementation of government schemes, and strategies to build public trust and strengthen the party’s presence.

This meeting marked a significant step in outlining a framework for people-centric political consolidation and laid a strong foundation for future political growth.

Notable attendees included State Committee Member Abdul Raheem Patel, Gulbarga District President Mohammed Mohsin, Yadgir District President Isaq Hussain, and Gulbarga District Secretary and ERM In-Charge Shakeel Patel.
